Zeno of Citium was a merchant until the sea took his ship and its cargo of purple dye. He walked into an Athens bookshop, asked where men like Socrates could be found, and ended up founding Stoic philosophy (Diogenes Laertius VII). The sea took the ship. What he did next was his. Over the wreck: ΕΦ’ ΗΜΙΝ — "up to us" (Epictetus, Enchiridion 1.1).

Full back print on a heavyweight black tee — a storm beach at dawn, one cracked jar leaking the only purple in the whole line. ENTAXEI mark at the left chest. Greek hand-set in GFS Didot; citation on the printed neck label.
