εντάξει — "in order." It is the most ordinary word in modern Greek, the one you say when someone asks how you are and the honest answer is: fine. It comes down, worn smooth by two thousand years, from the ancient phrase ἐν τάξει — in order, in formation, at your post.
That is the whole idea behind this label. Stoic philosophy was not written in Latin aphorisms on gym walls. Marcus Aurelius, emperor of Rome, wrote the Meditations in Greek, in a military camp on the Danube, as private notes he never meant anyone to read. Epictetus taught in Greek, having been born a slave. The language is not decoration here — it is the actual language the thinking happened in.
So every design starts from a real passage in the original Greek, cited properly, with our own translation made from the source. Nothing is invented, paraphrased or loosely attributed. Where a design is a composed phrase rather than a quotation, the listing says so.
The type is set by hand in GFS Didot, a Greek typeface cut by the Greek Font Society, with English glosses in Archivo. No marble busts, no eagles, no distressed textures. The restraint is the design.
Everything is printed to order in Lancashire on heavyweight AS Colour and Stanley/Stella cotton, with a printed neck label carrying the citation for the piece you're wearing. Printing only what is ordered means no dead stock and no landfill run at the end of a season.
