ἤτοι… ἕνωσις καὶ τάξις καὶ πρόνοια — “either chaos… or unity, and order, and providence.” Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 6.10, in the Greek he actually wrote. In Epictetus the same word is the soldier’s word: the post you’re assigned, and don’t desert (Discourses 1.9).

ΤΑΞΙΣ is the root of this label’s name — one word carrying the cosmic sense and the military one at once. Hand-set in GFS Didot with ORDER · ARRANGEMENT · POST beneath; the citation is printed on the neck label.
